My Thoughts..

So who doesn't love a happy ending? I don't consider that to be a flaw in what is at its heart, a romance novel. The fact that the entire series had delighted us with fantasy, action and the supernatural shouldn't change the expectation that this story was always a love story. And I loved it. I think Eclipse is still my favorite, maybe Twilight because it's when I first fell in love with these characters, but I don't have to choose. What I loved about Breaking Dawn was finally being able to hear a maturity in Bella's voice that others alluded to, but we couldn't hear because we were inside Bella's head with all her doubts. I loved the change in her relationship with Edward, when they were finally on equal ground. In a very real sense, Edward was finally allowed to be more Edward, more himself and I loved him more for it. The humor of the previous books continued as well as a few tear jerking moments of emotion, proof that the characters are complex and well-developed. I hope Meyer's revisits Forks in the future with the voice of other characters. I'd like a happy ending for a few more and to see how a few others turn out, especially around the Quilleutes at La Push. I'm not sure I can be as blissfully happy for Jacob until I do.

Eclipse

"Edward’s soft voice came from behind me. I turned to see him spring lightly up the porch steps, his hair windblown from running. He pulled me into his arms at once, just like he had in the parking lot, and kissed me again. This kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine–-like he was afraid we had only so much time left to us."

My Thoughts..

My favorite in the series! This book has everything, action, romance and the mad love triangle. It also goes deeper with the relationships between Bella and Jacob. Must read!

New Moon

My Thoughts..

Another fun read! When Edward decides he has put Bella's life in danger, he and his vampire family leave the town of Forks, in hopes that Bella will be safe and move on with her life. Bella, however, realizes that the love of her life is gone for good, and falls into a deep depression. Only Jacob, a lifelong family friend, (who has a major crush on her) can reach her troubled spirit. New Moon has a lot of action and romance, plus who can resist a love triangle as Bella is torn between Edward and Jacob!

Twilight

Twilight is a young adult vampire romance novel by Stephanie Meyer. It is the first book in The Twilight Saga and introduces readers to seventeen-year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan and Edward Cullen, a vampire from Forks, Washington. When pitching Twilight to agents, Meyer was rejected 14 times. After being published in 2005, Twilight debuted on the New York Times Best Seller list at #5. It spent 91 weeks on the list, eventually reaching #1. It was one of the best selling books of 2009, selling 17 million copies to date. Twilight has been translated into 37 languages.

Twilight is followed by New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. The film adaptation was released in 2008 by Paramount Pictures and grossed more than $408 million worldwide.

My Thoughts..

This is one of my absolute favorite books that I have read in such a long time. I read it in one weekend, it's the kind of book that takes hold of you and you just can't put it down. I've fallen in love with the saga of a girl who falls in love with a vampire. It has such a balance of love and suspense. Stephenie Meyer is such a talented author with a distinct voice that I'm so happy she shared it. Everyone should read this book... You will love it!

My Thoughts..

One of my favorite books. The story had me hooked by the first 10 pages. The relationships are amazing and you feel like you can relate in a way. Excellent story. In my opinion this is way better than the Twilight Saga. Definite must read.
